Nepal: Nature Lovers Fave Destination – Part One

Spectacular view of Machapuchare (Fish Tail Mountain)

Traveling Nepal for the first time was terrific. Yes, this was my first ever solo travel experience internationally and was unforgettable in all ways. Being a nature lover, I was very interested to see mountain sunrise and sunset from Nepal, the mountainous land on the earth. So what did I do first to explore the natural beauty of Nepal in Sarangkot and Nagarkot?

I took help from the local travel agency here and my all-time favorite TripAdvisor to simplify my tour for getting ultimate fun and joy. I departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka by BG-701 on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 1:30 PM and arrived at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu at 2:40 PM (you might be thinking, why need to remember all details Date and Time? Oh yes, because I already mentioned this tour as unforgettable).

I’ve stayed at the Himalayan Travellers Inn in Thamel, Kathmandu. Just moved around nearby, did bit shopping. I slept early as the next day early morning had to leave the capital for Pokhara, the second largest and most calm and lovely city in my eyes.

Honestly speaking the first time I’ve enjoyed a bus tour and service while traveling for Pokhara from Kathmandu though it was a long time (8 hours) journey. I didn’t get bored, was accessing Free Wi-Fi and happy to see the beautiful view of mountains, Trishuli river and Sheti river (river of white water) from the bus through the window. Arrived by afternoon and here I stayed at the Hotel Grand Holiday. The next day my dream fulfilled and it was on Thursday, October 23, 2014.

In the first part of my Nepal tour, I will take you to witness spectacular sunrise in Sarangkot (Pokhara) and sunset in Nagarkot (Kathmandu). Both destinations are must-visit to enjoy the ultimate natural beauty of Nepal.

Sunrise in Sarangkot

Sarangkot is one of the famous and attractive spots to view the spectacular sunrise of the world’s deadliest mountain, Annapurna. Oh, I still can’t believe I was in there?? Yes, I was, and I can go back there many times. I can say more but below pictures can mean more than my words. Just have a look 🙂

Sunset in Nagarkot

I’m coming back (Friday, October 24, 2014) again Kathmandu to take you to Nagarkot, just one-hour scenic drive from the capital. This spot is too famous and attractive. Nagarkot is 7000 feet above the sea level. Many are afraid of heights, but if you are a thrill seeker, then you must go for that. I’ve enjoyed the magnificent Himalayan sunset from here.
