Vintage-styled Paradise Inn Le Metropole Hotel in Alexandria was one of its classes to explore during my solo trip to Egypt. The hotel was built in 1902 and still maintains the same classical decorations, which will take you back to the nostalgic atmosphere. Interestingly, it was the main reason I decided to stay three nights at 100 years old Paradise Inn Le Metropole Hotel. Next to the excellent location of the Mediterranean harbor front, I love to enjoy the glorious sea view every day from the hotel Sky View Restaurant. Le Metropole Hotel is perfect for couples or family, but even it was fantastic to stay all alone. Here is the Paradise Inn Le Metropole Hotel review for giving you some good reasons to enjoy a luxurious stay during your visit to Alexandria.
I visited Alexandria during winter and experienced monsoons in the city. The best time to visit is during Autumn or Fall from the end of September to early November. You may also love the mysterious beauty of the Mediterranean during monsoon, but you’ll not enjoy walking around the city center. A sudden rain bothered me sometimes to enjoy leisure time sitting in the open-air rooftop restaurant with the Mediterranean view.

Paradise Inn Le Metropole Hotel Review
Paradise Inn Le Metropole Hotel is in an 18th-century-old building, and the entire interior is captivating. Every corner of the hotel is carrying many years old history through the vintage decorations. I loved how the hotel authorities well maintained the beauty of the antique pieces of furniture through decorations. Once you enter, the whole atmosphere will take you back to the early 1900s century.

The elevator of the hotel itself is an ancient wonder that takes you up and down on a pulley. Even the inside spiral staircase of the hotel will give you an imperial feeling. Everything is so elegant and neat from the front desk to the rooftop.

Paradise Inn Le Metropole Hotel located on 52 Saad Zaglol Street in the center of the Mediterranean city. You’ll find the best hotels, restaurants, and shops surrounding the neighborhood of the hotel. Mahatet El Raml Train Station is just 0.1 km away from the hotel. Another Misr Railway Station is 0.9 km away from the hotel and the best option if you’re traveling the city from Cairo Ramses Station or going back to Cairo from Alexandria.

Furthermore, Alexandria Library, Qaitbay Citadel, Alexandria Opera House, Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa, and Constantine Cavafy Museum are some of the famous landmarks located very close to Le Metropole Hotel. You’ll enjoy walking around the neighborhood and the Mediterranean seaside.

It is easy to find a rented taxi or horse carriage to move around the city from the hotel area. But the only Borg el Arab International Airport is far away from the hotel. It is convenient to travel either by train or car if you’re visiting Alexandria from other cities in Egypt.

My Le Metropole Hotel Moments
I stayed in a single room for three nights. This room is well furnished with all old-styled furniture. There was a small balcony with a city view. The room was spacious and had two single beds, a cupboard, TV, side table and chairs, small refrigerator. And the attached bathroom had all the modern facilities and toiletries. Two people can easily stay in this room. I liked the decor plus it was tidy.

My best moment was spending an enjoyable time at the Sky View Restaurant in the hotel for the Mediterranean view. I loved the Le Metropole Hotel Restaurant menu, where they serve from Egyptian to French and other seasonal cuisines. The food was so fresh and especially the mix of fruit juice and bakery items.
I was in the hotel during the holiday season. On the first day of 2020, I had the early buffet breakfast with the Mediterranean sea view. It was a memorable moment. The entire city landscape from the Le Metropole Hotel Alexandria rooftop is truly stunning.
The next day morning able to see the rainbow from the hotel rooftop. And found this Mediterranean seaside is also best for a morning walk and the entire environment is so calm in the morning hour.
I also loved to enjoy some photo shooting in the hotel lobby with all the classical antique pieces of furniture or artwork and all the beautiful corners of this vintage hotel.
Due to the holiday times, I found it a bit noisy late at night, and one night there was no towel in the bathroom. It only requires giving a bit more attention to all those little yet essential things.
Moreover, the hotel staff is cooperative enough and highly concerned about the safety and security of each guest. So, it was all fine to stay alone. Despite some of the little issues, it was fantastic to spend three of the best nights at the Paradise Inn Le Metropole Hotel in Alexandria, Egypt.
