To Inspire You To Visit Bali [10 Photos]
There are many popular tourist attractions in Bali, which are much common and visited by almost all tourists. But the following 10 photos are some of my own choices, and some are bit offbeat and I found interesting to explore.
Gateway To Heaven at Lempuyang Luhur Temple
Pura Lempuyang Luhur or Lempuyang Luhur Temple is located in Karangasem which is part of East Bali. The main entrance of this temple is known as Gateway To Heaven. The total landscape looks very picturesque from this temple gate. But the most scenic view is possible to enjoy from the top of the temple if you can climb more than 1700 steep steps.
Traditional Kecak and Fire Dance at Uluwatu Temple
Any traveler should not miss at least one unique Balinese dance or music performance in Bali. During sunset hour daily at Uluwatu Temple this dance performance performed by Balinese artists. A chorus of about 70 men performed Kecak dance without any musical instruments. They keep on chanting ‘Kecak Kecak’ and others tell some parts of the story of Ramayana through dance. Uluwatu temple is located in South Bali, from this temple, the beauty of Indian Ocean is amazing and very scenic as well.
Iconic Gate of Handara Golf & Resort Bali
Handara is the world’s top 50 greatest golf course. This is the entrance of this golf club and resorts and inside is very picturesque. And this Balinese unique gate design first drove me to visit Bali. Now, this particular spot became famous. Many enjoyed just walking and taking pictures in front of this gate. Later found this is the Balinese architectural design for any entrance and common to use.
The Entrance of W Bali in Seminyak
Seminyak is a beach area in South Bali. This destination is famous for many luxury hotels and resorts. There are many international hotels, restaurants, and trendy boutique shops are there. W Bali is the luxury hotel in Seminyak. And the entrance of this hotel now known as Bamboo Street. Too picturesque for many bamboo trees which have been used to decorate the entrance of W Hotels & Resorts. I couldn’t without posing and crossing this beautiful walkway.
Scenic Padang Padang Beach
I found Padang Padang beach in South Bali is quite different than other beaches. This beach seems like a private beach. One will love the mountainous view with many rocks and pristine blue water. Many Hindu priests were offering prayers while singing Balinese music. I loved the total atmosphere of this beach. Padang Padang beach became famous for the Hollywood movie ‘Eat Pray Love’ which released in 2010.
Twin Lake (Lake Buyan & Lake Tamblingan)
I was surprised to know about Bali Twin Lake. Lake Buyan and Lake Tamblingan both together known as Twin Lake in North Bali. The countryside of Bali is truly beautiful. There are many small shops to eat nearby Twin Lake. Many tourists love to stop here to eat while enjoying the lake view. The nice view of this lake is possible to see from the top of Asah Gobleg Hill.
Ulun Danu Beratan Water Temple
Pura Ulun Danu Beratan is the most picturesque water temple in Bedugul, North Bali. This temple is also known as Lake Beratan Temple which located on the west side of Beratan Lake. The picture of this temple you can see on the Indonesian 50,000 Rupiah (IDR) note.
Breathtaking View of Mount Batur
Mount Batur is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Kintamani village. This is one of the active volcanoes in Bali. Visitors loved the breathtaking view of Mount Batur and Lake Batur. And trekkers enjoy trekking at Batur which is 1,717 meters above the sea level.
Lush Green Rice Terrace in Gulingan
There are many rice terraces in Bali. Some became very popular and some still unknown to many. I loved to find this lush green rice terrace in Gullingan, a rural area of North Bali. You just can’t stop yourself without a lovely walk here. Yes, every corner of Bali is so magical, still so much hidden and need to explore. And you all already know my love for green, right? 😉
Balinese Grilled Fish (Ikan Bakar)
Balinese authentic food is something you got to try when in Bali. I just loved the Balinese grilled fish which known as Ikan Bakar. The mouthwatering Ikan Bakar with spicy Sambal is a must-try Balinese cuisine for all food lovers around. The real taste of Ikan Bakar I found at Blue Marlin Café in Jimbaran Beach, South Bali. They provide fresh grilled seafood.
